The 3rd Edition brought in 53 lifters that included many veterans, first timers, numerous state records, three American Records and a major rewrite of the meet record books. It was a long day, but, as you can see, a very productive one.
The women had a great day. Newcomers Tori Shaw and Emma Gremer came to lift well as did Sara Lewis on meet day. Tori was Teen Female of the meet by formula as well as being the Homecoming Queen from Fife High. Sara came in looking to hit a Nationals Qualifier and came out with more than that at 245 kilos/ 540 lbs. total. Emma is new to the sport and had to get her day in before playing in a basketball game for Fife that night. She totaled 255 kilos/562 lbs. Traci Gack was as solid as ever totaling 257.5 kilos in the RAW Police/Fire division. Katherine Chwalek-Clark came in ready to go. Last year she talked her dad into it and watched him lift and this year came to do it on her own. She had a great day hitting a total of 352.5 kilos/777 lbs. Machell Collier came to play. She hit a 105 kilo/231 squat, a bench of 50 kilos/110 lbs., and a dead lift of 145 kilos/320 lbs. dead lift. Patricia Martinez was just as spectacular hitting a fine total of 360 kilos/794 lbs. Included in her day was a 314 lb. squat, a 165 lb. bench and a 308 dead lift. Natalie Harmon, along with great energy throughout the day, hit a total of 365 kilos/ 805 lbs. with lifts of 145 kg./320lbs., 75 kg./165 lbs., and 145 kg./320 lbs. in that order ( I still haven’t washed my cheek either LOL ). Elizabeth Harwood was next up and in charge with a total of 320 kilos/705 lbs. Her lifts were 110 kilos/243 lbs., 77.5 kilos/171 lbs., and 132.5 kilos/292 lbs. across the board. Rachele Unson had a very hard day in the squat – missing all three attempts, but finished her day well with lifts of 72.5 kilos/160 lbs. in the bench and 117.5 kilos/259 lbs. in the dead lift.
